Scope:
This project involved the replacement and installation of a Linear Accelerator (Linac) for the LA3 Bunker at Westmead Hospital, it also included the complete refurbishment of the existing LA3 bunker room and fitout of the associated control rooms. Careful services coordination with multiple specialist medical contractors and precise concrete set outs were required to accommodate the installation of the Linac along with the meticulous set out for the wall chases to cater for the Linac radiation beams. The project was successfully completed within the required time frame.

Features:
- Works were carried out in stages; Stage 1 was completed out of hours to minimise noise disruption to adjoining patient waiting rooms and reception, as well as to eliminate the radiation impact from the neighboring operational Linac Rooms.
- Accurate levelling of the bunker slab with a 2mm tolerance around the linear adjustable bed.
- Precision set out of plate brackets for radiation lasers.
